The retreat is presented by
Sister Paula Hagen, O.S.B. Sister Paula is from the St. Paul’s Monastery in
St. Paul, Minnesota. She is the co-author of Ministry of Mothers Sharing
(MOMS), a family therapist, retreat director, national family ministry
consultant and trainer. She will facilitate the retreat using scripture,
prayer rituals, journaling, quiet reflection and discussion centered on
becoming a more peaceful person.
St. Mary’s welcomes women of
all ages and stages to join in this playful and prayful event. Take some
time for reflection on Mary and Elizabeth as a model of Christian
friendship. (Luke 1:39-56). Experience songs and prayer rituals expressing
the sacredness of true woman-to-woman friendships. Strengthen your
relationship with Christ and all who have loved you.
A participant from last
year’s retreat had these reflections. “As a mother and wife, it is hard to
find time for myself. This retreat was wonderful because it allowed me to
step back from my life, pause, reflect, relax and even laugh with other
women as we discovered that we are already the amazing woman that we have
aspired to become! It has also encouraged me to find time for myself on a
daily basis to talk to God and truly feel His presence and His blessings in
my life each day.”
